The caribou is known for its wild-living attribute and it plays a key role in Canadian history and culture. It became more significant in 1936 when a change in the sovereign s image that was used on currency persuaded the Canadian government to modify coin designs. In line with the momentous development, in 1937, Emanuel Hahn s caribou design found its way on the 25-Cent Coin.
